Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

Acceptance

  • By using AutoCap, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
  • We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.

The service

  • AutoCap transcribes video and produces styled captions, as burned-in video or as SRT files, using third-party speech models.
  • The service is provided as-is. Transcription accuracy varies with audio quality, accents and background noise.
  • Always review your captions before publishing. We are not responsible for errors in the output.

Your content

  • You own everything you upload. Uploading grants us a limited licence to process the file solely to provide the service to you.
  • You must hold the rights to what you upload. Do not upload content that infringes copyright or privacy, or that is unlawful.
  • We claim no ownership over your videos or the captions produced from them.

Plans and billing

  • The free plan includes a limited number of transcription minutes. Paid plans raise those limits as described on the pricing page.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay in INR.
  • If a transcription fails after being counted against your plan, contact us within 7 days and we will restore the minutes.
  • Annual plans are refundable within 14 days of purchase.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service to process content that is illegal or violates someone else's rights.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate requests against our API without written permission.
  • Do not resell access or share account credentials.

Limitation of liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
  • Our total liability in any dispute is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim.

Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.
  • You may close your account at any time. On closure, your data is deleted within 30 days.

Governing law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of your operating city.
